Staycation at the Chamberlain
Staycation at the Chamberlain: Rooftop Pool Hanging and Dinner at the Edition
Pre-Covid, Sarah won a giveaway via Instagram (woohoo go influence!) for a free night’s stay at the Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood. I call this a staycation because it’s about a ten minute walk from our apartment, lol.
They gifted us the Premier King Suite, which had a huge bathroom, king bed (luxury, imagine living in two twin beds for the first two years we lived here, pushed into one single mega-bed), and a huge lounging area. Balcony included, as well as a rooftop pool.
And now for my close up:
Sarah was just vibing in a Tobi swimsuit we got years back.
Overall, the vibes were great. They were playing chill music that made you feel like you were at a rooftop bar in Europe. It wasn’t busy when we stayed there, which was nice because #cabanalife.
You thought I wouldn’t show you accessories? Here’s our favorite vintage Pucci bag (from an estate sale), Illesteva sunnies and Parade scarf. What a VIBE.
Before dinner, we went to Trader Joe’s, a two minute walk from the Chamberlain to get some drunk snacks. We were so hungover after dinner that we voraciously ate Cheetos. Necessary.
boujie din din: The Rooftop restaurant at the edition
We decided our staycation called for a a boujie evening, so we put on our Sunday best and headed to the rooftop restaurant at the Edition Hotel on Sunset Boulevard.
Quick pre-dinner fit pit stop:
I guess I should show Sarah and a bit of the hotel room, too.
Wait jk that’s my pregame wine. Here she is:
Here’s some photos together to prove I actually have a twin:
On to dinner— They had hamachi sashimi (a go-to order, always). We also got this tuna and avocado dish on seaweed. It looked beautiful but the avocado was overripe, one of my least favorite qualities ever. It tastes like the smell of gasoline? Anyways, do it for the gram.
At the Edition, you’re paying for the view. It overlooks most of West Hollywood, especially the hills. It’s an absolutely beautiful spot to go to during the day and lounge by the pool. Here’s an OG photo of that:
The drinks pay for the view, which I obviously never got a photo of. Here’s the drink though, dark like my soul.
Overall, the Edition is a beautiful space. The ambience is literally unbeatable, but the price point is $$$. I would personally go for drinks and not the food. There’s a restaurant downstairs, Ardor, that I’ve been dying to try. Here’s some low quality selfies in a high quality spot:
We hope you enjoyed your stay on this page (if you made it through); I know we enjoyed ours!
Ciao for now x
